From juggling the brush at the age of 5 to becoming the only rhythmic gymnast to compete in 4 Olympic finals
At Engage we were honoured to have Almudena Cid, four-time Olympic rhythmic gymnast, in an unforgettable meeting with our students and girls who are passionate about the sport.
During the talk, Almudena took us through her incredible sporting career,
sharing stories of her path to the elite and her dedication, which led her to
compete in 4 Olympic finals – a unique achievement in the world of rhythmic gymnastics!
She also told us about her other great passion: writing, and how her experiences have
brought her Olympia book collection to life.
We were thrilled to learn that her love of gymnastics began with an after-school activity, like the ones we offer at our school.
As a child, she was already juggling with her hairbrush, demonstrating her ability to
master objects with her body. Almudena reminded us that every challenge in life is like
the different rhythmic apparatuses: it requires perseverance, perseverance and, above all, passion.
Thank you, Almudena, for inspiring us to pursue our dreams with the same energy and
determination you have shown in your career.
We take away lessons for life, both in and out of sport.
